The voice in your head is the single greatest cause of your suffering. 

Fear, anxiety, guilt, shame, anger, and every negative emotion starts at the level of thought. Tackle the problem at its root and it doesn't get easier; it disappears.

Principle 3

When you fight with reality, you suffer. 

Most people are in an unconscious fight with life, always wishing something was different than it is.  This is the true source of discontent and unhappiness. When you accept reality as it is, you'll find the freedom you're looking for. 

Principle 4

Self-Mastery is the way to reach your highest potential.

If you had total mental and emotional control over your internal state, what are you capable of? When you master your internal world, you are primed to master your external world in almost any way you choose.

Enlightenment is the end of suffering.

Most people accept suffering as an inescapable part of the human experience, never asking if there is another way. When you understand the root of suffering and the nature of reality, suffering becomes a choice.
